Walker Turner Belt Sander

The Walker Turner belt sander is a vintage machine tool, not manufactured for nearly 50 years. The company, based in Plainfield, NJ, was purchased by Rockwell Manufacturing Company in 1956 and allowed to operate as Walker-Turner Division, Rockwell Manufacturing Co. until the division was completely phased out in the early 1960’s.

Many of the Walker Turner belt sanders they manufactured have survived the no less that half a century and are still in working order today, in garages and workshops around the world. Sanding belts are still readily available and there are still some companies that can still provide some parts and service for these vintage machines. One of these sanders would make a fine addition to any vintage machine tool collection or any home garage or workshop.
